Improving the First Bank Nigeria Mobile App.🪄✨
The spark for this endeavor ignited from a personal encounter: despite having three mobile banking applications at my disposal, I found myself gravitating away from First Bank.🫣
After thinking about what the reason could be, I identified a pivotal factor contributing to my reluctance – the app’s user interface. Coupled with occasional network and transfer issues, the UI emerged as a significant deterrent to frequent usage. 🤐
So, I decided to do something about it. As a product designer, I took on the challenge of redesigning the app. I hoped that by making it better, I could start using the app more often if implemented. 🤔
My focus was on changing the main screens of the app to make them easier to use and nicer to look at, while following the bank's brand guidelines. I wanted to make sure that every change I made would make the app more enjoyable for users. ✅
I compared the current screens of the app with my redesigned versions to show how things could improve. I also added a new screen in addition to the existing splash screen to welcome users when they open the app, to help them get started easily. ✨
By sharing this redesign, I hope to show how small changes can make a big difference in how we use digital banking apps. 📲
